Job Description
Menten AI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Leader to join our dynamic executive team in a fast-paced startup environment. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will spearhead efforts to create attractive partnership opportunities and execute strategic deals that maximize the value of our innovative platform. Additionally, the candidate will play a pivotal role in corporate development activities, including fundraising and hiring, in collaboration with the CEO and management team.
The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in biotech deal-making, as well as a deep understanding of the drug discovery process and a nuanced knowledge of market dynamics. This individual will also have the expertise to manage external alliances and business partnerships, which are crucial to enhancing Menten AI's presence and impact in the data science realm. We are looking for someone who can think strategically and creatively about a wide range of opportunities to help Menten AI achieve its unique mission.

Business Growth: Attract and grow partnerships with leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Generate new leads and secure opportunities.
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute short and long-term business development strategies to drive commercial success.
Partnership Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate partnership opportunities and build relationships with key industry players.
Value Communication: Articulate Menten AI's value proposition, highlighting our platform's unique offerings and competitive advantages.
Technology Expertise: Stay informed about our core platform technology to guide business development efforts.
Deal Negotiation: Lead deal negotiations, ensuring Menten AI captures appropriate value from partnerships. Prepare and review contract terms with cross-functional teams.
Presentation and Outreach: Create and deliver compelling presentations to potential partners and senior management. Attend industry events to raise awareness and generate leads.
Team Culture: Contribute to a positive team culture, supporting personal and professional development in alignment with Menten AI's core values and mission.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in Business Development in Biotech/Techbio or Pharma.
Expert knowledge of the pharmaceutical/biotech landscape, R&D trends, and market opportunities, with a focus on peptide therapeutics and biologics.
Proven track record of engaging partners and achieving superior business development outcomes.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills to solve complex problems and communicate recommendations effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deliver persuasive presentations.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and negotiate complex deals.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
